Philosophy Coupon Code 2016: 40% OFF Entire Purchase

Philosophy Purity Made Simple One Step Facial Cleanser 32oz Value Size Pump

Philosophy is having a flash sale from 10am through midnight EDT, today only. Get 40% off your entire purchase with promo code SURPRISE40 at checkout (excludes renewed hope, ultimate miracle worker, amazing grace 20th anniversary collection, take a deep breath, microdelivery oxygen peel and outlet products). You'll also receive 3 free samples and free shipping on orders of $50 or more.

I'm going to be stocking up on the Purity Made Simple One Step Facial Cleanser. The 32oz value size retails $55, but is $33 after 40% OFF and comes with a pump! The fragrance-free formula is suppose to (1) gently clean your face, (2) remove makeup and (3) tone & condition your skin with natural oil extracts. I personally have been using it for years as a brush cleanser. It leaves my brushes squeaky clean without damaging the bristles or leaving an oily residue. One of the reasons why it works so well is because it contains alot of different oils, which breaks down makeup easily. It also comes in 3oz (retails $11==>$6.60 after discount), 8oz ($24==>$14.40), 16oz ($36==>$21.60) and 24oz ($44==>$26.40).

Ingredients: Water, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Coco-Glucoside, Coconut Alcohol, Peg-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Aniba Rosaeodora (Rosewood) Wood Oil, Geranium Maculatum Oil, Guaiac (Guaiacum Officinale) Extract, Cymbopogon Martini Oil, Rosa Damascena Extract, Amyris Balsamifera Bark Oil, Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Oil, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Oil, Cinnamomum Cassia Leaf Oil, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Seed Oil, Piper Nigrum (Pepper) Seed Extract, Polysorbate 20, Glycerin, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Yellow 5 (Ci 19140).

Philosophy Friends + Family Sale 2013: 33% OFF All Orders (no minimum)

Philosophy is having a Friends & Family Sale and is offering 33% off all orders (no minimum)!
This is the best time to stock up on all your favorites. =)
Offer expires June 7, 2013.
Enter coupon code philofriend at checkout.

one-step facial cleanser - purity made simple - cleansers 32 oz.

I highly recommend getting the Purity Made Simple One Step Cleanser. I recently bought it in the super-size 32oz and have been loving it as a brush cleanser. It removes all the liquid/cream product out of my brushes with 2 washes and doesn't leave a greasy finish, which olive oil sometimes do. It just breaks down the product easily, but it's gentle at the same time and doesn't dry out my brushes. Love it!

First Impressions: Sephora Pro Allover Powder Brush #61 + Mini Haul

Sephora Pro Allover Powder Brush #61

Sephora Pro Allover Powder Brush #61

Sephora Pro Allover Powder Brush #61

Sephora Pro Allover Powder Brush #61

If you follow me on Pinterest, then you know that I recently purchased the Sephora #61 Pro Allover Powder brush ($46) from their new professional brush line. The handle is black and has a glossy finish. The nickel ferrule is embossed with the Sephora logo on one side and the number of the brush on the other side. Also, it comes with a thick plastic brush guard with a lid on top, which protects the brush during travel and allows it to retain its shape.

The brush is much larger than I anticipated. The total length of it measures 8.5 inches. The head is 1.5 inches long and 2.25 inches wide at the tip. For a size comparison, check out my post on Pinterest.

The bristles are made from synthetic material and feel super soft. The brush is really dense, but it's not too dense to the point where it feels stiff. The bristles are flexible and they glide onto my skin smoothly without tugging my skin. The size and the density make it great for applying setting powder all over the face and for applying bronzer to the body, neck and decollete.

I made a post about Sephora's huge sale a few days ago. The sale is still running, but I would hurry and make a purchase because alot of the items are selling out quick. I bought the Philosophy Gingerbread Man Scented Hot Salt Body Scrub and the Candy Cane Body Scrub for $15 each. They contain 23oz of product and retail for $25 each, which means I got them for 40% off! I haven't tried the Candy Cane scrub, but I have purchased the Gingerbread Man scrub before and I absolutely love it. It contains sea salts, which buff away dry spots and rough patches. It exfoliates my body very well and leaves my skin feeling buttery smooth. I just love that my skin feels so clean and hydrated after the shower. It is also important to mention that it smells more like ginger and not gingerbread, but the scent is still lovely and I love that it lingers on my skin for a few hours. I can't wait to try the Candy Cane one!

Are you getting anything from Sephora's new brush line or from the sale?
By the way, I just placed another order for more Philosophy body scrubs!
I need backups because they're limited edition and
the deal is too good to pass up. ^_^

Review: Philosophy The Supernatural Airbrush Brush

I've been searching for the ultimate foundation brush and decided to grab Philosophy's Supernatural Airbrush brush after reading so many raves about it.

When compared to the Mac 130 (review), the surface of the Philosophy brush is the same size, and takes just as long to apply foundation because of the tiny head. However, the bristles of the Philosophy brush are much denser and a little bit shorter than the Mac 130.

The main difference is that the Philosophy brush tugs my skin. That is definitely a deal breaker for me because tugging causes pre-mature wrinkles, especially around the eye area, where the skin is most delicate. This is a big NO NO for me! The bristles also absorb some of the foundation, and I end up using a little more than I usually would.

Another thing to point out is that it's a hassle to clean because I have to wash it at least 3 times before all the product comes out of the brush. Furthermore, drying takes longer than most of my other face brushes because the bristles of the Philosophy brush is made from synthetic material and is super dense.

The only good thing about using this brush to apply liquid foundation is that there is no streaking or shedding whatsoever.

    Note:
The Philosophy brush measures 5.5 inches in total length. You can purchase it at Nordstrom for $25. The Mac 130 costs $40.

Have you tried the Philosophy brush?
