If you follow me on Pinterest, then you know that I recently purchased the Sephora #61 Pro Allover Powder brush ($46) from their new professional brush line. The handle is black and has a glossy finish. The nickel ferrule is embossed with the Sephora logo on one side and the number of the brush on the other side. Also, it comes with a thick plastic brush guard with a lid on top, which protects the brush during travel and allows it to retain its shape.

The brush is much larger than I anticipated. The total length of it measures 8.5 inches. The head is 1.5 inches long and 2.25 inches wide at the tip. For a size comparison, check out my post on Pinterest.

The bristles are made from synthetic material and feel super soft. The brush is really dense, but it's not too dense to the point where it feels stiff. The bristles are flexible and they glide onto my skin smoothly without tugging my skin. The size and the density make it great for applying setting powder all over the face and for applying bronzer to the body, neck and decollete.

I made a post about Sephora's huge sale a few days ago. The sale is still running, but I would hurry and make a purchase because alot of the items are selling out quick. I bought the Philosophy Gingerbread Man Scented Hot Salt Body Scrub and the Candy Cane Body Scrub for $15 each. They contain 23oz of product and retail for $25 each, which means I got them for 40% off! I haven't tried the Candy Cane scrub, but I have purchased the Gingerbread Man scrub before and I absolutely love it. It contains sea salts, which buff away dry spots and rough patches. It exfoliates my body very well and leaves my skin feeling buttery smooth. I just love that my skin feels so clean and hydrated after the shower. It is also important to mention that it smells more like ginger and not gingerbread, but the scent is still lovely and I love that it lingers on my skin for a few hours. I can't wait to try the Candy Cane one!

Are you getting anything from Sephora's new brush line or from the sale?
By the way, I just placed another order for more Philosophy body scrubs!
I need backups because they're limited edition and
the deal is too good to pass up. ^_^

  2. From an objective point of view, the brush is "worth the money" because the quality is excellent. It doesn't shed, feels super soft and does what Sephora claims it's suppose to do. I personally prefer brushes that are made from natural bristles when using them to apply powder products because I find that natural brushes pick up product better and blends easier, while synthetic brushes tend to absorb more product, but applies lightly. Therefore, I prefer to use synthetic brushes when I'm dealing with a highly pigmented blush.
